Do I have to pay taxes on home improvement work done on my home, such as putting in new steps?

What are the tax rules on paying taxes for home improvement done to your home such as putting in new steps in front of your house?

2. Not income tax. As stated above, when your property is reassessed, your assessment may increase, and therefore your annual property tax.
3. only if and when you report the improvements to your tax office...here in state of Ohio they do a tax accessment every year of all properties
