Breaking a installation contract with Home Improvement company before installation date is determined?

Are there any comments about breaking a contract with a home improvement company after the 3 days they give you to consider? Reason is my financial situation has irreparably changed. They say I can't cancel, but I don't see penalties. I appreciate your help. Thanks Thank you for your comment. They indicate that I HAVE TO proceed because the items were custom measured. Do I have to? Actually, I cannot! So I don't know what they will do.

1. I assume that you might be referring to The Home Depot? I work for Lowe's...we don't play that game...you can cancel at any time as long as the goods have not been installed.
