Where can I find Balsa wood? Like in big constructing franchises like Home Depot or Lowes in Massachussetts?

Where can I find Balsa wood? Like in big constructing franchises like Home Depot or Lowes in Massachussetts. I need it because I am onna be building a minture house for math.

1. I think you will have better luck finding balsa wood at a hobby shop. There is not enough call for it at the large hardware stores. See our web site http://www.ourhomeimprovement.net/

3. Generally Home Depot has hobby woods and at times balsa located in the mill work/molding section. At least the one here does. Different types of wood ranging in thickness from 1/4" to 3/4". Also if your not picky or the wood does not need to be of a type, I would try using mdf, not hardboard, medium density fiber is easy to cut and shapes okay.
4. Go to a crafts store, like Michaels, if you have them there. Or any hobby type store.
