When will the home Improvement business come back?

When will the home Improvement business come back? I had to take a job Due to the slow down and I now work in sales selling printing supplies and hate it . The money is just OK but my Heart is just not in it. I would Rather put on jeans and tee shirt vs Suite. I gained weight and now very unhappy. I am 54 what can I do working for a company is not cracked up to all they say.

1. When the weather permits. Cold temperatures, rain, and snow make construction work a real bitch, not to mention people don't like to have gaping holes in their walls in the middle of winter. It'll pick up again.
