My Home Depot

Where would I find homasote at Home Depot? Would it be with wood supplies?

I would like to make a memo board and the craft calls for homasote (a wallboard made from recycled paper that is cmpressed under high temperature and held together with glue) Just wondering if anyone knew what area I would find this stuff in at Home Depot, or if they would even carry it?

  1. Ask the Home Depot employee's they should lead you right to it.
  2. The best way to find out if HD has it in stock is to ask them. Also check the nearby craft stores. Or you could use a cork board and push pins.
  3. i think homsote was one of those products had asbestos and has been remove from market used to be popular for skirting mobil homes yrs ago have not seen that stuff in over 25 yrs
  4. http://www.homasote.com/where.html They have a page where you can plug in your zip code and they will direct you to the nearest dealer. Homasote is NOT an asbestos product. The home centers/building supply centers also carry sheets (usually 12" x 12" square) of cork.
  5. It should be where they have insulation stored. Always ask for help.
  6. Homesote (or its kissing cousin Celotex). Is still readily available. It will be in the section with the rest of the sheet goods.
