My church needed $25,000 for Church Renovations, what are some ideas to raise the money without having a loan?

How can we raise the money without having to borrow from the banks and loan offices? I need some Legal Fundraiser Ideas!

1. Solicit pledges from members.
2. Bake sale, craft bazaar, taking in some donations. raffle, auction, pledges for actions( like losing weight, walking or biking, jump ropes, situps, etc) how about business owners that go to the church. They can donate some funds and write it off on their taxes, i believe. Possibly get some other businesses to donate materials. There are plenty of free second hand buildig materials available for free on craigslist or freecycle.

4. I guess it depends on when you need it by. I would get the people who attend the church and community involved. Some ideas are...host a rummage sale, car wash, and a raffel for a prize. At the very least, it will help with some money.
5. Take after the other churches, market your church, have a revival with performers and sell tickets, have a community fair, have low cost seminars and classes for the community. Sell the (taped) sermons, like creflo dollar! Ask the entrepreneurial members to donate products and sevices to be raffled or autioned off. Have a black tie affair, sell tickets, make the tickets, flyers and brochures in house or by members to costs, have your affairs at the church so you won't have to rent a place.
6. You can have yard sales, cakes and cookies sales, church sponsored dinners for a flat rate, the men's and women's groups could do a project out in the community for donations to the church project, the youth could do the same thing like a car wash or gathering leaves out of people's yards, recycling, concerts with either a fee or donation. There are many things that can be done within the legal confines of the church and raise that money. You can start a building fund offering within the church and have people mark their tithe envelopes for the building fund too. I have done this sort of thing all of my life.
