  1. hammering should be fine, its the gyprocking that gets me because of the dust particles and such, check with your doc
  2. Be cautious in an older home especially. Asbestos or lead could be lurking. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about a little physical work as long as you feel up to it, and you are careful. Just watch out for paint fumes and poisons. Take care!
  3. I dont think so, if you have the energy then go for it. You know your body, just rest when your tired, dont lift heavy objects and not alot of up and down, you might get dizzy and fall. I cant see swinging a hammer causing any problems. All the banging might drive baby nuts though....lol
  4. I just wanted to second what Lean said about the lead and aspestos. You really have to be careful with older homes, and alot of older homes have lead based paints. If the home is older, you may want to hold off on reno's, or stay out of the house while they're underway. The lead can be broken up into dust particles and inhaled. Lead is VERY bad for a baby's development. If in doubt, do some research. Good luck!
  5. As long as you are happy while your doing the work. I would wear a mask as to prevent dust being inhaled. I feel when your pregnant the biggest thing is how your feeling. I feel you need to get out in the sun a bit more. Taking a walk in the warm sun and just taking in nature. The more kind you are to yourself the better for both you and bub. On the Hazardous side depends always on age of building and the material your removing. I don't feel that this is an issue. Hope this helps, take care.
