What are the names and numbers of contractors that are building homes in your area? This Is J. S. Construction in Richmond Hill, Ga. We are looking to help rebuild homes destroyed by disasters. We currently work in Richmond Hill, Savannah, and Effingham Co... We have been building homes for seven years now including Framing, Renovations, Vinyl Siding, Interior Trim, Custom Decks, and Hardi Plank Siding. What can you do to stop or slow down building homes on 1 lot or half lots in established neighborhoods? My neighborhood is filled with older single family homes and now over night we have been swamped with new buildings. Three story shotgun style homes are being built on a single lot 25 feet wide a 100 feet long, And now we are seeing homes being built in the alleys in back yards with no frontage on a street. Its to unreal to imagine but realtors under cover of night brought out our city council and zoning boards what can we do?

Why are they building huge subdivisions of homes with the market so bad? Home sales are down over thirty percent where i live. In fact the home next to me and one two doors down have been empty and on the market for almost a year now. They have reduced the price twice yet two blocks over they are building a new six block subdivision and half the homes are built now and for sale. Can someonw explain new home vs. existing home value in the market today? What would motivate a company or investor to build right now?

Our community is building more senior citizen homes to build on natures earth .I want to save the environment. Our community is planning on destroying the last small peice of reserved farmland left in our area, in order to construct more senior retirement homes. What do you think about investors/private owners building huge homes in established neighborhoods? Even if we have the freedom to do so, do you think this is fair to those living in that community? They will tear down a cottage or ranch style home and build an estate or mansion-type house that does not fit the neighborhood. Is it wrong for me to feel that way? They are edging out the middle-class. These are people with much more money than I have Mr. Jello. They have areas already build for the rich and famous. Why take away from the middle class just because you like the area.

Why is everyone so concerned about feeding the birds and building them homes in Canada? Would the birds not be around otherwise? Are these birds not geting everything on a silver platter in this country? Shouldn´t they be "more independent" ;) ? Why are many construction companies continuing to build homes when so many are in foreclosure? Why is it legal to build homes and businesses so dangerously close to streets and highways? We see it all the time. I know of a restaurant where part of the dining area sits maybe 20 feet from rt. 1 speed limit 45 or 55. How many homes have we seen mere feet from the road in sharp curves? Where can I find the California building codes for firewalls between town homes? While moving my daughter's new bed upstairs, I put a hole in the drywall, and while I was replacing the drywall, I found that there is no firewall separating my town home from my neighbors townhome. (A firewall is a wall made of brick or cinderblock that is used as a buffer to protect homes from fire.)
