What renovations should I make to my home before I sell it? I'm about to list my house. I want to make some renovations so I can get the best sale price. What are buyers looking for? I'm pretty sure I want to put in new cabinets and tile in the kitchen.

Should I keep extra laminate flooring after renovations? My friend in Toronto, Ontario is being asked to leave his apartment because the owner of the house is making major repairs and rennovations. Can they do this? Where to begin with home renovations....? My husband and I just purchased our first home, and it needs some work, mostly small, but a couple of big things too... We need to replace the roof, as most of the trusses were built with 2x2's and could use to be beefed up. Should we bill our downstairs neighbours for work resulting from thier renovations? We live in a converted terrace house built around 1900. The people downstairs had work done to enlarge their basement and improve their property. The work went on for weeks and after it was done we notice that many of our doors and windows were jamming as the work has caused the structure of the building to shift. Does it make sense to take a home equity loan out for $100K or so a year in advance of renovations and invest?
