Home Depot Employment Application Knowledge Base

Does anybody know what the Home Depot employment application math test consists of? I have heard that they ask you math questions on the application. I am sure it is fairly basic. Nevertheless, has anybody done it?
Santa Rosa Home Depot Employment help? I filled out an application for Home Depot and I went to the store a week later to talk to the manager and he told me to call the Human Resources for the store. I called the HR and I typed in my information (Social Security # and zip code), but it said that they don't have my application. I reapplied and called the HR again couple days later, but they still don't have my application on file. Can somebody help me? Thanks.
So I was filling out the Home Depot application and it said this...? The following questionnaire can be completed in less than three minutes. Providing the requested information may allow The Home Depot to take advantage of federal and state tax credits if you are hired. Completion of this form is voluntary and your responses will not be viewed by The Home Depot store personnel when making employment decisions. Please click "Yes" to participate. If you have already completed the WOTC questionnaire you do not need to take the questionnaire again. I know this might be a dumb question but is it a good thing if I fill this out? What exactly does "allow The Home Depot to take advantage of federal and state tax credits" mean?

Question about Home Depot employment? I went on an interview on Jan 25 and everything went extremely well. The young man who interviewed me let me know that the managers are still looking over application so they'll let me know. Here it is almost two weeks come Feb 9 and I have not heard from them. Should It take this long and what do you think their doing? And do you think I got the job? Someone please help me with great helpful information! Thanks

Why on earth is the Walmart employment application so in-depth? I was looking for part-time work and thought.. well why not Walmart. Then I went online and went through the application process and was shocked. It was more intense than Home Depot. I was expecting to just fill out my details and employment history. Of course, I never got a call. Then I watch the quality of the current employees when shopping there as they ignore customers at the Jewelry kiosk. Don't even get me started with the cashiers. Ever tried to get a propane tank refilled there? Anyway, anyone know why they went with an employment application process that demanding for a job that pays barely above minimum wage? Todd, I don't recall ever mentioning that Walmart was attempting to obtain employment with me. That seems very far fetched and it amazes me that your reading comprehension was so far off that you quelled that from my text. Thank you for your incredibly helpfull input however.

Am I available for re-hire at The Home Depot after getting fired or quite? I got fired from my local home depot about 8 months ago. I got fired for too many absentees that I had doctors notes for. I got approved for my unemployment. I also got put on permanent no re-hire for that. Well the store manager that put me on permanent no re-hire recently got fired himself for being discriminating. I have been told by some people that if that happens with the store manager all the employees that he fired and put on permanent no re-hire, automatically are available to re-submit there employment applications not saying that they will get re-hired for sure just saying that they have been taken off the permanent no re-hire list
Home Depot employees...can you help? I've already applied online to Home Depot through careers.homedepot.com...but it never asks for you to take the little quiz thing (where it's usually about 100+ simple questions as a way to score you on your common sense, how you would react to this and that, etc.) It has been years since I've been to the employment kiosk in-store...but the last time I remember, it had those questions. Did they just do away with the questions part, or do I need to go into the store and take the dumb little test through the kiosk? Is my application even going to be considered without the test, even though it didn't ask for one? The reason I ask is...I current work for an Office Depot (oddly enough, I seem to have some strange unknown happening to work at 'depot' stores) Anyway...you have to fill out a paper application...but if you don't take the "TSD" test, they won't even consider your application at all. Is Home Depot the same way for these online applications? Do I need to take an in-store test?
What the heck, Home Depot? Hello everyone, I was at my city's One Stop center for employment and while there I learned of something like 10 openings with the local Home Depot. I jumped on that immediately, applying as quickly as possible. I waited about a week and then went into the store to speak to the hiring manager about my application. I went to the customer service desk and asked an associate if I could speak to the hiring manager regarding the application. The woman told me that the center in Georgia handles all of the interviews and that if they were interested in hiring me, I would be getting a call from that center to set up an in-store interview with the manager. So I've waited another week. Worrying that the jobs might be gone, I checked again today and sure enough, almost all of the positions are still open. I have a few questions with this one: -Was she lying to me? Can I believe what she said? Is this really how Home Depot does things now? -If this is really handled by some employment center in Georgia, can't I just call them to show my interest in the position? -Where can I find the number to call? -Who does this? How can they expect people in another state to decide if someone is right for a job in a community they don't live in? I'm sure these seem like really simple questions, I'm just desperate for a job and it's eating me up at the possibility that the only thing keeping me from one is a crappy job of outsourcing or my lack of understanding such a system. Employment agency just called, and we had not called them! My husband applied online to several local jobs...? and they were all the "uniformed" application . Could the call be because of one of these? We are puzzled since we did not contact any agency The online apps were Lowe's, Home Depot etc The agency wants him to come and fill out an application there...could this ne connected? He also did an online app with Pepsi, and a phone interview

Job Application Questions? Hi I'm a senior in high school (18 years old) and wanted to apply to a few stores near my house including Home Depot, Office Depot, Costco, and Target. This is going to be my first real job so I wanted to know what I could put under employment/job experience. I have worked at my parents retail store on the weekends and in the summer but never really got paid. (At least not a salary or hourly). I also have volunteer experience at a college library. My question is could either or both of these be put under that? If so what would be my "position"? Also do you know if I have a realistic chance at being hired at the places I listed? Do they hire 18 year olds with little to no experience? Thanks in advance. I'm applying part-time and I will be attending a university this fall.
I have a criminal record? A little bit about me: I am 25 years old, a college grad (mechanical engineering), spent 6 years in the Air Force Reserve and have been with my current employer for 5 years. When I was 18 years old I was a bit of a rebel. I was caught shoplifting and underage drinking, and was cited for these violations. Years ago, when I was 20 years old I tried to get a job at Home Depot and they would not hire me because of my record. Shortly after that, I was rejected from a warehouse job on the same premise. My current employer did not background check me because I am a friend of the family who owns it. I am currently seeking other employment though, this is why I am asking this question. My question is: 6 years later with education and job experience, how will employers look at my record now? I know they can be expunged, it's just a royal pain in my state to do so, so I haven't gotten around to it. I just want some perspectives on this because my record has always bugged me and I haven't done anything illegal since my teens. Also, when filling out applications and putting in resumes, how do you go about disclosing this kind of information in the least threatening manner? They were just two misdemeanor citations. Rock Firestorm: You really need to do a little more research before you go spouting off on a subject, you are uneducated and uninformed. Here is a link to my State's expungement procedures, saying how to do it and what it is: http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/expunge/
