Buying Home Depot Canada Store Credit? I found someone selling store credit in Kijiji. It is 15% off the actual amount in the card. The seller is selling $1000 store credit for $850. I know that there are scams about gift cards. Seller can report stolen or Home Depot has the right to cancel the card if it was bought illegally. Does this work the same for store credit? Is it save to buy store credit from these sellers? How can I avoid scam if I really need to buy the store credit?

Is there a way to get estimates online for lumber from stores like Home Depot, Kent, Lowes etc in Canada? I need to buy some plywood to do a subfloor and was wondering if there was a way to get estimates online? Thank you tamarack58: all that I meant is that I wanted to know if I could find out the cost to buy plywood based on the amount that I need. Or how much plywood costs per sheet for 1/2" or 3/4" thickness. I have an area to cover that is 11'x4' wanted to know if there was a site that could give me the price of that.
I just added KING play sand from Home Depot in Canada...? I just added King Play Sand from Home Depot to my "test" 7 gallon tank (usually houses a female betta and some ghost shrimp, they are chilling in my other tank right now). I washed the sand maybe 4-5 times before putting it in. Despite that, the water came out cloudy (not impossible to see, but definitely translucent). I am running my filter right now with extra sponges, and hopefully it clears. However, I am concerned that the sand I purchased contains salt. There seems to be a layer of white residue developing around the edges of the tank (where the water lapped up and dried away). I can't tell if the water is salty to taste. Does anyone have any experience with King Play Sand from Home Depot? I have a couple kulhi loaches I'd like to put in but due to their salt sensitives, I am holding off until I am sure. Thanks. PS. how long does it take for the cloudiness to clear? Will the cloudiness affect the health of the fish at all? Is there any way I can eliminate or reduce the cloudiness? Thanks!

Where can you get Mills Pride cabinets in Canada? Or something similar? My husband does kitchen renovations and has always used Mills Pride, which was sold at Home Depot here in Canada. Now they've stopped selling them. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced alternative? Specifically, right now he is looking to buy a 30" pots and pans drawer cabinet and an 18" base cabinet. Thanks!

Where to buy high gloss kitchen cabinet doors in Canada? I'm looking for slab-style European-look high gloss kitchen cabinet doors (for frameless cabinets) in a lime green colour, made of thermofoil, MDF or high pressure laminate, ideally produced/available in Canada. Home Depot's latest KraftMaid line only comes in a limited selection of colours. Similarly with IKEA's AKURUM Abstrakt. I've already emailed a number of manufacturers in the US. Most haven't responded. The rest don't ship to Canada. What's left seems to be Italian (Aster Cucine) and German (Alno) Kitchen manufacturers, whose products I can only obtain locally through "Kitchen design houses" - going through so many levels of distribution that the costs for these cabinets/doors are incredibly high. I'm not interested in a painted surface. I'm already experienced with the commercial coatings available. I don't need that headache, and I think it looks terrible. As for resale value: if subsequent owners of my home don't care for the portion of my kitchen cabinetry with lime green doors - all they need to do is replace them. That's the beauty of framess cabinetry.
Bought a trailer from Home Depot, given incorrect NVIS package.? About 6 weeks ago, I purchased a trailer from Home Depot, they did not have the NVIS package, which allows me to register and obtain a plate from the MTO. They got the package, but it turned out that VIN of the trailer has been already registered to some other trailer, and have to wait for a new VIN number. Now its has been 6 weeks, and no package in sight, I am getting a great price on the trailer since it has some damage, but I do really require a trailer at the present. Can I make home depot give me a better trailer, which they have in stock for the same price that I am buying the present one? Any consumer laws in Canada, Ontario which I can use to bargain with? Thanks Sam
Should I work at Bed Bath & Beyond or Home Depot? 10 Points? I'm going to go to two interviews tomorrow and want to know which company is better. There is Bed Bath & Beyond and Home Depot. I read about Bed Bath & Beyond, and people said that it's a really bad place to work; however, they were talking about the American stores and I was wondering if it's different in Canada, which is where I live. BBB is a new store and its just opening so everyone is new and would be trained at the same time. I'm not looking for any alternative jobs, such as the online ones that the first two people have mentioned...so if you could just please help with my problem...thanks!!!

I live in Scarborough Ontario, and I check all the places that sound like they might have one, i.e Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Canada Computers, Wal-mart, and even The Source. Where can you buy Peel Away, a chemical paint remover, in Canada? I've looked online at Home Depot, Home Hardware and Rona to see if they carry Peel Away 7 and don't see that they carry it. Does anyone know where I can buy it. I'd prefer not to buy it online. Thanks. There isn't an Ace Hardware around. I'm planning on removing oil paint from an interior brick wall. I've tried steel brushes and it barely looks like it's been scrubbed.

I have been to walmart, Candian Tire, Home Depot, and several nurseries and they all say it has been labelled a dangerous substance and they do not carry it. If it is not possible to get it in Canada, can I have it shipped to me online, possibly from the states?...... and if so will it even make it successfully over the border? I need it for my homemade rocket, not anything dnagerous or stupid.

DS: Are little dogs in shopping carts lethal weapons? Below is a reprint from a story in the Toronto Star. A 70 year old woman had a Shih Tzu in her shopping cart entering Home Depot and the store greeter bent down to see it - the dog proceeded to rip her a new one (another nostril....... silly). So, are little dogs in shopping cart dogs lethal weapons? What made Fido snap? Is BSL for any dog carried in purses, carts and buggies next on the Ontario Government's agenda? Would you take your dog into Home Depot in a shopping cart now that they are on a red alert? ****************************************************************************************************** Home Depot considers banning pets after Shih Tzu attack April 18, 2011 OTTAWA—Home Depot is considering banning dogs from its stores after an Ottawa-area employee says she was viciously bitten by a Shih Tzu. Anne Riel, 39, says she had to be rushed to hospital for emergency surgery Friday afternoon after a customer’s dog bit off the end of her nose. The mother of two says she was working near the doors at the Home Depot store in Gloucester, east of Ottawa, when a woman came in with a Shih Tzu in her shopping cart. Riel says she greeted the woman and bent down slightly to pet the pup when it leapt out of the cart and sank its teeth into her nose. Riel says the dog’s owner showed little interest as a blood-soaked Riel was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to hospital. There, doctors had to use seven stitches to sew her skin together and another two or three to reattach her left nostril. “My nose will never be the same again,” Riel said in a telephone interview on Monday, adding that she will be seeking damages from the dog’s owner. “God only knows how many plastic surgeries I will need to even make it look somewhat normal,” she said. A Home Depot Canada spokesperson said the chain allows pets in its stores as long as they are under the owner’s control. But that policy might be changing, said Tiziana Baccega, given the recent incident. Home Depot is currently reviewing its policy on pets, and only service animals — such as guide dogs for the blind — will be allowed inside the stores if a ban is put in place. “We want to make sure that the safety of our associates and our customers is Number One,” Baccega said. Baccega said she’s hoping for a resolution to the issue by the end of the week. Meanwhile, Riel says the outpouring of concern from her co-workers and from store customers has been overwhelming. “The support has been absolutely enormous,” said Riel, who came in for her scheduled shift on Monday morning because she can’t afford to stay home sick. City of Ottawa bylaw officers came to the store Monday morning and took Riel’s statement, she said. They told her they will be issuing a muzzle order to the dog’s owner, as well as pressing charges that carry a fine of around $600. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/976839--home-depot-considers-banning-pets-after-shih-tzu-attack Sidebar: I personally was in a Pet Food store about 1 month ago, talking to a woman who had a Doberman Pincher. The dog was leashed and muzzled (the owners choice). Anyway, we are there chatting, the dog just standing idle near the front entrance and an old man walks in - goes straight towards the dog without speaking and literally jams his face into the Dobe's face and says...HELLO. The dog didn't budge. (amazingly) This happened right after another woman saw us talking and noticed the dog muzzled and said : Why is that dog muzzled? I looked at the other woman knowingly and then turned and replied: because we live in a litigious world and people do stupid things.
Moen Bathtub Water Dripping? Hi I have problem with water dripping from Moen Bathtub. The water keep dripping and push-off seem not complete turn off the water. The water dripping was coming out from tub spout. My Moen bathtub has one handle (pull-on, push-off and hot/cold water.. it is all in one handle.. if you know what I mean) I know it is not fault from tub spout. I think something fault in handle. is it washer?? or Cartridge?? or is there other name of type that I need to replace it?? I heard that Moen offer free replacement because it is lifetime warranty. Home Depot Canada told me. So Let me know which part or name that I need to replace to stop water dripping from tub spout that push-off handle seem can't turn off water completely stop. I called Home Depot Canada, they told me the replacement part number 1225B but I check Moen website it said 1222. (it is for Replacement Cartridge) I was confuse. Let me know which one is right. Maybe 1225B is OEM universal replacement part. I checked on Home Depot Canada Website, they don't have 1222. So I assume it is right one 1225B. Let me know which part?? is it Cartridge?? and is it 1222 or 1225B ?? Thanks

Questions about drilling, drywall studs, and avoiding electric wires:? Incase your wondering, I am trying to mount a miniature basketball, and it weighs between 10-15 pounds. I have everything set up, and all I need to really do is drill 3 holes into my dry white wall (located in my bedroom). Once those 3 holes are drilled, I will need to then place the hoop onto the 3 holes and tighten 3 screws into the holes. Hopefully it will stay put, but first I'll need to find the studs and of course avoid electrical wires! I live in an apartment by the way, so I am not sure if the studs are made the same way as houses would be. My questions are: 1.) If I'm drilling into a white drywall, how do I know when to stop drilling? Do I stop once I immediately hit the stud? 2.) Are both the drywall and stud located very close together? Close as in pages side-to-side in a book close? 3.) I am afraid that if I drill into the wall to locate the stud that I may find something else - electric wires. How do I avoid drilling into them? The area that I would like to mount has a few electric plug holes located around it. 4.) If I have no experience with drilling, would it really be that hard if I did it myself? All I really need to do is drill 3 holes (and of course finding out where the drywall studs are located / and avoiding electrical wires). 5.) As I have no prior experience with drilling, I will need to purchase 4 items to do get this done: a drill (I'm guessing a cheap electric drill will do the job?), a drill bit (3/16"), a stud finder, and an electric wire finder (name?). Could I be able to buy all these 4 items for under $50.00? And if you can reccomend me exactly what type of drill operates with a 3/16" drill bit, that would be great! I am from Canada, so I'll likely shop at the widest tool shop stores such as Home Depot Canada, Canadian Tire, etc. Any input would be appreciated! Thank you kindly in advance! The instructions that came with my miniature basketball hoop states that I need to use the 3" screws they included with my purchase to tighten the three holes so that the hoops stays put on the wall
GE electric smart water heater hot water trickle? Model: PE 40T9CB00. It was bought from Home Depot Canada few year ago under a 9 year warranty. After two years the hot water flow reduced to a trickle. The culprit was a plastic insert in the hot water outflow adapter. This was apparently used to void the need to sealer during the home installation. Heat destroyed the insert and formed a sieve in the adapter. After taking apart and cleaning the connection normal water flow was restored. Now, two years later the same problem surfaced. Technical support from Virginia, US recommended drain the tank 2x a year for sediments. (It supposed to be self-cleaning) Change the anode connectors (?).I have the impression they do not know what they are talking about and they do not care. Anybody has any bad experience with this heater? Any idea what could be the problem?

Where can I buy adjustable propane regulator?(Canada)? I've stripped my regulator for my propane hose. I'm looking to buy another here in Ontario, Canada. Where can I buy diodes in Canada? I'm wondering if any of the major retail chains in Canada sell diodes (Canadian Tire, Home Depot, etc). I'm hoping that diodes are used for some particular purpose (car audio, maybe?) and they will be available somewhere. I know most people will want to say RadioShack/The Source, but they are kind of useless because they only sell "variety packs" that cost about $10 - $20 and don't offer any selection. There is a specialty electronics shop in town, but they get rather agitated when I don't know what I'm looking for exactly, not to mention they have completely useless hours, so I'd rather avoid it.
Where can i buy 5mm LED's in Ontario Canada? I live about 30 min south of Ottawa and i need to get my hands on some 5mm red LED's for a project im working on. Does anyone know if i can get them at home depot or Canadian tire or something? Thanks for reading! Cheesezilla
Planting Peonies In Toronto, Canada? I'm seriously thinking of planting peonies but I know nothing about it. 1. Can they be planted next to roses? 2. Are they only available to purchase in the fall (for planting)? 3. Does Home Depot carry them (I don't see them there yet)? 4. What's the best way to buy them (roots, bulbs?? I don't know the difference)? And any other important tips would be great :)
We are losing Canada - what can we do? What has Canada become to? Where is the custom and heritage? Are we converting to China and the other related countries? Why are we so afraid of China that our retailers and similar companies have to meet their demands and requirements? I also immigrated to Canada at an early age and have since acknowledge this country as my home. I am proud to be a Canadian and I am proud of my country. Therefore whenever I see other immigrants populating the country in a large amount and demanding that Canada meet their culture and demands, it demeans and upset us, as Canadian. Why is it that when the immigrants come here, we have to adjust to their culture and when we visit their country we still have to adjust to their culture, is the Canadians so stupid and lost their respect? Recently I visited Walmart retail store that is located on Hwy 7 and was astonished to see that they have converted every signs in the store to English and Chinese. I have lived in Markham for 15 years. Markham is a multi-culture environment with born Canadians, immigrants from Italian, Greek, Polish, Caribbean, Guyana, Trinidad, China and many other countries who speak different languages. But yet the Walmart has chosen to change their signs to Chinese – why? Is it that that other people are insignificant, should we all lobby to have Walmart build a store in Markham for each one of us so that we can read the signs. The signs were very upsetting and I would encourage others (non-Chinese) to boycott this store. Walmart has not considered the impact of such behaviour to others, they are sucking up to the Chinese. The Associate at Walmart informed me that the reason they have changed the signs is that the majority of Chinese shop at this Walmart and they are planning another location Scarborough to accommodate the Indian community, so would Walmart start to build locations for each nationality that lives in the GTA so that we can feel welcome and appreciated? Is our dollar not the same quality as of the Chinese’s dollar? The Chinese seems to take over and yet we as Canadians are not taking an active role to save our country. I strongly encourage the people of Markham who are not Chinese to boycott this Markham location. The Chinese already have their own quarters in Chinatown, Richmond Hill, and wherever, please I call upon the Government and real Canadians to stop this nonsense. We as Canadians, should maintain our country heritage, language and customs. I wouldn’t be surprise if the Chinese population demands that they want to see their language as a second language in Canada. Also, the Government has stressed the importance for companies to maintain a quota of minorities and different culture but yet in the Chinese stores are not meeting this requirement. Their staff is only of their own community and they have extended hours and holidays opening. Also several years ago, SARS broke out in Ontario, who brought it here? But yet we let this all happen, are we scared of the Chinese community that we have to beckon to their call? What has Canada become to. Please, I call upon the non-Chinese (oriental) community to put a stop to this non-sense, we should all feel welcome and appreciated with respect in Canada. Generic stores and companies such as Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes, No-Frills, Chryster Jeep, should all remain generic because their customers are of a multi-culture and they should treat us all with same respect; they need our business to survive. Canada is multi-culture and I am proud to be in Canada and a Canadian! I call upon the Government, businesses and true Canadians to end this trend! Please let’s show respect for every nationality – we are multi-culture and we should be respected! Concerned and Upset Citizen BM
where can I buy polyester or fiberglass resin in Canada? ? I'm looking for a bucket of resin so I can make a mold of something. It's not to repair parts so I need quite a lot of it. I've tried searching in: Home Hardware Home depot Rona Canadian Tire Zellers Walmart Sears I couldn't find anything but bondo fiberglass repair which is far too little for what I want to accomplish. Thanks
14 year old job in British Columbia, Canada? I have my Social Insurance Number and it is 100% legal for me to work in Canada. I am an Honors student, on the principal's list (straight A's), and I don't look my age at all. Most people think I'm 16-17 years old. I am also very mature for my age. I'm just wondering what you guys think my chances of getting a summer job are, and I also wouldn't mind some suggestions on where a good place to work would be. I have many stores (roughly 100, but quite a few I couldn't work at), etc. in my part of town and only my high school is near by. Even then only about 850 people go there). I also have a resume and cover letter ready. PS: Stores include: Walmart, Save On Foods, Tim Hortons, A & W, McDonalds, Taco Bells, Rogers Video, Movie Gallery, Dairy Queen, KFC, Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Starbucks, Booster Juice, Shoe Warehouse, etc. Thanks! Sarah
Is Canada a second rate country that's WAY over-rated? Unfortunately I live in Canada and I hate it. The country has the absolute worst weather, sky high taxes, and REALLY backwards politics. Canadian companies aren't much better. They are always way inferior to their American competion (i.e Zellers vs. Walmart, Canadian Tire Vs. Home Depot..hahaha), and often completely corrupt (Nortel). I have no idea how this country came to be valued so high (I suspect because you basically only need a pulse to get in.....you can be an 80 y.o. immigrant needing $500,000 worth of medical treatment and you'll get in no problem). Anyone else hate this backwards nation and want to get the H*ll out? An American opinions here? Tilly: Don't think were that far advanced....just ask the native Indians who continue to get screwed over @ Jane: I find that next to impossible..perhaps from the point of view of a "pov" wanting to come here...if it wasn't for the US as neighbors we'd be a third world country...I really hate this place!
Should Canada build a New Hi-Speed (S.O.T.A.) Mag-Lev Mono-Rail System from coast to coast....yes or no? "We have the technology to put him back together again" I mean Canada not The Six Million Dollar Man. The rails were put there by our first leaders to pull this country together, To express soverinty over it's great expanse, to move and motivate man and machine. We had the technology to build the s.o.t.a. "Avro Arrow" 50 years ago, we have, state of the art, fuel cell technology, "Ballard Power", we have a former snowmobile company, that builds trains and airplanes to no compare "Bombardier". Darn, we could build right through the tundra of the arctic, and give you a thrill Disney could only dream about, diamond mines, polar bears, Supermans Fortress, Santa's Workshop. We could lay claim to all that is ours, was ours and should remain ours. We could see the tar sands where Newfoundlanders now catch that other "soon to fished out bounty". If we weren't already giving it away, I'm sure they think we had WMD too. With Home Depot & Wall-Mart we all got jobs! just dreaming... Ya, Superman was ours, so was basketball but it didn't get a "ten parter" ~Basketball a History of Canada~ oh well, there is, hockey...eh?. I am going to re-phrase this question in other categories Thanx for the imput....
How old do you have to be to get a job? I'd like to work as a cashier, or putting things on shelves at Chapters, Zellers,Sears, Bluenotes, American Eagle, Stitches, Canadian Tire, Kent, Home Depot or Dollarama. Also if you can think of any other places where you can work when you're 15 (almost 16) that aren't food related. Then that would be appreciated. Also, please only tell me about the regulations applicable in canada. Thanks!
Chain kitchen installers or boutique? I have a house that I rent out which needs kitchen and bathrooms remodelled. I live in Canada but the house is in the UK. Boutique places tend to be good, I guess, but pricey. Obviously you get a cheaper product with someone like Sainsbury's Homebase, but is the product good value for money? Are the installers from DIY chains reliable? Which DIY chain do you favour? Here in Canada I vere between Home Depot and Lowes, but actually I think the workmanship is better when you go boutique.
Plants in Montreal, Canada? Does anyone know of a few places where I could buy a large variety of plants/herbs in Montreal? I'm looking for some of the rarer kinds and I have no idea who might sell them, except maybe Rona or Home Depot or something. Thanks in advance, all answers appreciated!

quality brand indoor lock with key in canada? i purchased an indoor handle for my room door that came with keys. however, one day i tried the key and it wouldnt work. i had to push the door in to a point of breaking it a bit to get in. i was able to fix the lock to close the door, but the part that's supposed to stay stiff when the door is locked won't stay stiff...it's easy to push in my door. i don't remember the brand but i bought it for about 14$cdn at home depot and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to a brand that's a better quality where the key will actually work so this won't happen again. an indoor door lock with key. something i could possibly get at canadian tire or home depot. and under 20 bucks would be great.
Where can I get a good dehumidifier in Montreal, Canada? I am looking for a good dehumidifier for my place, should cover between 500 sq ft to 1800 sq ft. It has to have an automatic de-icer/defrost, should operate at low temperatures, should not catch fire like the Danby. It should also be not too noisy and energy efficient. I checked at Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Reno Depot, Costco/Club Price, Wal-Mart, and either they didn't have any or they had check models. Any other advice? I am looking for a good, specialized dealer. Thanks.
Where can I get NO-DAMP? I've been looking around at Home Depot and Wal-Mart, and I cannot find it. The only place on the internet that I have found it is on ebay, but that has to be shipped from Canada. If anyone has a website of someone that sells it or if you know what stores DO sell it it would be much appreciated. I live in Austin, Tx. if that helps.
Where can I buy new closet doors? I'm tired of my boring white bi-fold closet doors...I want to replace them with more modern type doors. Like sliders or double doors. Something kind of fancy. I live in Calgary Canada, so somewhere available here? I've tried Ikea, Leons, Home Depot and more...but they don't seem to sell just plain "CLOSET DOORS"....only full wardrobes and stuff. Thanks!
I don't know what to do with my life? I'm 21. I was terminated from five previous jobs: call center, best buy, home depot, rona, and now td canada trust. Recently I was fired from a bank because of being unbalanced at the end of the day for about a week. I feel so worthless. My parents expect me to be a big businessman, but I don't know if I can make them happy. I can't tell my parents I'm fired because they're going to get really depressed. I can't cope with this pain. Also, the girl whom I really like won't talk to me anymore because of my drinking problem. I don't know how I can get her to talk to me. What should I do? Is it normal for people to experience such problems at barely 21?

Gardening Help Please :)? Like I said in my previous question, I need new grass! *If you missed it this is what it was: I'm a 14 year old and I'm doing teh gardening part of the house. You see, my family just moved into a house with a TERRIBLE backyard. Weeds are EVERYWHERE, there are patches of long grass and blank spots. So all the experts out there, this is what I plan on doing. First, I mow down all the grass then I flip the soil around so that the bottom soil comes on top and it's more mixed. Then after, I'll go to Home Depot and get some Vigoro Grass Seed (Vigoro is a brand). After some intense grass seed sprending, I'll add loads of Top Soil on top and water gently. (Don't want the water to push all the seeds away!) and woola, wait for it to grow. It says that it will sprout in 7 to 9 days. I live in Ontario, Canada so, it is around 17 days into the summer (Summer started on June 20th right?) So is this a good time to start sprouting and working on the lawn? or should I wait till next year ? (we already pulled out all the weed and its root.) So if I put the grass seed in, I heard that birds LOVE to pick at it...is there anything I can reinforce it with? I have a bird feeder in my backyard but.... Thank you! :) Is the a need to flip the soil ? Or can I just mow the old grass and plant on top of it ?
Do you agree with this? One Reporter’s Opinion – Americans Fed Up With Stealth Amnesty? It is this reporter's opinion that the amnesty crowd won’t die easily.Led by Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, D-Nev., Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., and company, they've tried five times to shove comprehensive immigration reform through and each time the American people, in their infinite wisdom, have rebuked them. The defeat of the DREAM Act was a major setback. Then came California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s attempt to add the AgJOBS bill to the Farm Bill and again they fell flat on their faces. Feinstein admitted that amnesty efforts lacked popular support and its proponents could not overcome the opposition. The recent Bank of America fiasco is further evidence that when the people speak, the amnesty crowd listens. Customers tore up their BoA credit cards when the bank decided to give credit cards to illegals. It cost Bank of America a 32-percent drop in business. The threat is not over. Feinstein plans to bring up AgJOBS amnesty as a stand-alone bill later this year. But the amnesty crowd may be getting the message. Eighty House Democrats and Republicans teamed up to propose a new immigration enforcement bill saying they reject the Reid-Kennedy attempt at amnesty. A large number of rank-and-file Democrats agree with most Republicans that the first step should be a get-tough approach to border security. This new approach includes going after businesses that hire illegals; improving information sharing among the IRS, Homeland Security, and Social Security to track illegals; and increasing the number of enforcement agents at the border. We the people are speaking up. The people are fed up with plans to merge the United States into a North American Union with Canada and Mexico which would destroy American sovereignty. We are: Fed up with the refusal of the Federal government to secure our borders. Fed up with armed Mexicans illegally crossing our borders and assaulting Americans. Fed up when Americans like border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are sent to prison for defending us from drug-smuggling illegals. Fed up with the millions of illegals in America costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year. Fed up with a president who orders 160,000 young Americans into harm’s way, thousands of miles from home, yet refuses to secure America. Fed up with politicians who refuse to enforce immigration laws and claim it is “impossible” to deport criminals who are here illegally Fed up with illegals who take advantage of free medical services to dump their medical bills on our backs and push our hospitals into bankruptcy. Fed up with federal, state, and local systems overrun by illegal aliens costing taxpayers billions each year. Fed up with the fact that illegal aliens kill an average of 12 Americans every day. Fed up with politicians who pamper illegals with driver’s licenses and free public services. Americans are fed up with the Mexicanization of America! And finally, we are fed up with a president and members of Congress who consistently work on behalf of illegals and the state of Mexico and against the interests of the American people. The American people are fed up, mad as he!!, and we are not going to take it anymore! http://www.newsmax.com/putnam/Putnam_amnesty/2007/11/08/47895.html Wonder what the reaction would be if unemployed AMERICAN CITIZENS hung around Home Depot hoping to get picked up for a day job? Would they be arrested for loitering? Would there be riots resulting from illegals outraged that someone is standing on their corner trying to get “their” jobs?

Do General Contractors charge GST on materials twice? I have run into this situation often, without a concrete legal/tax answer. A contractor pays for supplies at a Home Depot or Rona and there pays GST for them. This charge then goes on his/her invoice to the clients they are doing the work for. When the job is completed and the invoice sent to the customer/client, the entire total (materials & labour) has GST added to it. Therefore, although the client already is paying the GST that the contractor paid at Home Depot, he/she is now paying that same 5% GST on the complete subtotal(twice on materials). What is the legal/tax position on this as it appears that GST should only be charged on materials once...(Ontario, Canada)
I recieved this letter with check, I cashed it what will happen? When I got this letter it told me to respond and I did it told to cash it and call back then they told me to go to western union and send the money to a certain person I did this and after western union called me and told me to get the money back from were I sent it from. They said that the check will bounce and it will cost me money. I wish I went to this website first and maybe I wouldn't be in this mess. I just need to know what will happen. When the person didn't get it from western union she called me up and told me to send it to someone different and to send it trough moneygram instead. My letter came form Canada it was a de-lotto Switzerland sweepstakes. The lady told me it was a drawing from Walmart, Home Depot, JC Penny if you bought something within six month your name went in a drawing I want to know if anyone else went through this and went did you do. Thanks
Tankless hot water heater? We are considering at buying a tankless hot water heater in Canada, we were looking at the ones at Home Depot and are not sure what the best brand is? Also What benifits are there with this unit and what is the % in savings of electricity and gas Thanks... http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?langId=-15&storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&N=0&Ntk=level1&Ntt=tankless%20hot%20water%20heater&Nty=1&D=tankless%20hot%20water%20heater&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&s=true
Trampoline?? I would like to buy a 14 or 15 foot trampoline in April or May. What stores in Canada have good quality trampolines that aren't really expensive (something $300 or under) I know that Walmart, Canadian Tire, Sears, Home Depot, and Costco have trampolines but which store has the best ones. Thankyou!!:)
What if the South had won the Civil War? What would the "underground railroad" to freedom in Canada be like? Can you imagine Abraham Lincoln accepting the South's declaration of independence, as England did with the "New England" colonies of North America? Would the civil rights movement have ever gotten the results it has, in a divided America? I live in Dresden, Ontario, a main "depot" for the so-called "underground railroad", to which we are proud to have have a museum that attracts visitors of all colours, including on it's grounds the old homes and church of the run-away slaves who came here from the slave states, and a cemetary where abloitionists were burried along with ex-slaves like Rev Josiah Henson. Did you know that most northern "Yankee" states.would catch escaped blacks and return them to the slave states, if they did not get to complete freedom in Canada which was proudly abolitionist??? Did you know northern states STILL return run-aways to their "owners" during the bloody war fought to free them?!? I was apauled to learn that!!! How far is there still to go today?
