Why does home depot rip people off? They dont tell you this but if you buy power tools from them they are not the same tools as you would get from a supply house or someplace else. I bought a Bosh hammer drill from there and it crapped out after a few months. When i took it to a repair person he opened it and said where the hell did you get this drill the bushings and gears are plastic. I ve never seen that on a Bosch hammer drill. And the repairmans boss said that many companies make different tools and equipment specifically for Home Depot. And they are usually of lesser quality. That is how they pass the savings to you. which sucks because i would be willing to spend the extra 20 - 40 bucks for the "real thing" This explains why my shower head is leaking after only 3 months of use. and it wasnt a cheap brand either. Home Depot is ok for bulding supplies but dont buy your tools from there cause youll be sorry in the long run. im sorry but that is b u l l s h i t. thats called rip off. Did anyone see the home depot commercial where the girl paints the wall to match her pink shoes? There was a home depot commercial a few months ago and the girl was wearing these amazing pink sequin pumps and painted her wall to match the shoes. Does anyone know where those shoes came from or where you can find ones that look just like it?

am i better off ordering lumber from home depot or a lumber co.? i'm doing an addition to my house (bath and two bedrooms). i live in phoenix, az. would i be okay ordering lumber (2x6s, 2x4s, 4x6s, 4x8s) from home depot, or should i go to specific lumber companies (schuck, alliance lumber, or heldt -for those in arizona)? not sure if the quality of wood is the same or not. price wise, is home depot known to be higher priced than lumber companies? i could research this a bit, but this way is quicker.

how does home depot match paint color to any item you bring in? The house we just purchased is in urgent need for painting, and we cannot afford it right now.
